Thank you for your interest in our research study on the effects of Osteopathic Manipulation in patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Our study will look at the potential positive effects that osteopathic manipulative techniques can have on patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, such as decreased pain, improved sensation and increased muscle strength.

The osteopathic techniques which are utilized in the study are very gentle hands-on techniques that address the soft tissues, muscles, and bones around the hand, wrist and elbow, in order to take pressure off of nerves that have been affected in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome.

The commitment to our study will be six sessions of osteopathic hands-on manipulation for 15-20 minutes each, followed by a nerve conduction test performed with Dr. Gellman to look for improvement in the nerve function in the wrist.

We thank you for your interest in our study. Should you have any additional questions, you can contact Dr. David Boesler at
